Pepper/chili/Mirchi Curry...a great combo for baghara/biryani


Ingredients:
For paste:
Serrano Peppers------4(big)/Indian Green chilies----10
Onions finely chopped---1/2cup
ciliantro---1/2cup
Salt to taste

Tamarind pulp----1/2cup
Cashew nuts-----soaked for 1hr 5

Roasted Cumin seeds--------Few
Roasted pea nuts--------1/4cup
Combine all the above ingredients and make a fine paste

For Curry:
Mustard seeds------Few
Cumin seeds-----few
Onions----1/2cup
Chana dal-----------1/4ts
Turmeric------------Pinch
Chilli powder------1/4t.s
Red chilli----------1
vegetable oil-------2ts

Method:
  1. Take a pan and heat 2-3ts of oil and add cumin seeds+ Mustard seeds+chana Dal+redchili and wait until they splutter.
  2. Now add onions and saute until they get half cooked.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric and saute until the raw flavor of turmeric goes away.
  4. Now add the grinded paste to it and mix well, add little water to make medium thick consistency of the gravy.
  5. Check for taste before adding chili powder, add if required.
  6. Finally garnish with cilantro.
Serve hot with baghara/ biryani.

I love this recipe very much easy to cook and delicious in taste......
It's my fav combo for bagara/ biryani....
