French style green beans in Indian style

French style beans are my hubby's favorite. Most of them will have them just by boiling them in the salt water and season with the spices they wish. I love having them in any way. Though it belong to beans family, it taste unique. I can just eat the curry with out rice/roti. French style beans are little thin compared to regular beans and they cook very fast. Now coming to Indian style recipe.

Ingredients:
French style beans: 2 cups(350grms)

Chopped onions-1/4cup
Green chillies-2
chopped cilantro-2t.s
dry coconut powder -2ts
Cumin seeds-1/2ts
Mustard seeds-1/2ts
Chana dal-1ts
Urad dal-1ts
Turmeric-Pinch
Salt to taste
Chili powder-1/2t.s
Tomato-1/2cup chopped
Red chili-1
vegetable oil-2ts

Directions:
Heat 2ts of oil in non stick pan and add cumin + mustard + chana + urad dal+ red chili and wait until they splutter. Add onions and green chili and saute until they the onions become transparent. Add turmeric and cook for few min and add beans & tomato and cook in a closed pan under medium flame. Saute in between. Cook until they are done. Add red chili powder, salt, dry coconut powder and cook for few more minutes and turn off the stove. Finally garnish with cilantro and the yummy curry is ready to serve. Goes well with rice/roti.

Notice: Do not add ginger garlic paste/coriander/cumin powder. I tried it last time, it didn't taste better. If you cook this way the flavor of beans will retain and you can enjoy it.
