Perugu pacchadi/ curd chutney/ raita is my favorite combo for bagara/biryani, I can even have it with white rice/paratha or simply eat it directly. It tastes that good. It is very simple to make and delicious to taste.
Here are the ingredients for simple raita:
Yogurt/curd-2cups
Green chilis chopped-2ts
onions chopped-1/2cup
Carrot chopped-1/4cup(optional)
Cumin seeds-few
Hing/ asafortida-pinch
Mustard seeds-few
red chili-1
curry leaf-1 rib (optional)
Cilantro/coriander for garnishing
Salt to taste
oil-2ts
Method:
Here are the ingredients for simple raita:

Method:
- Mix yogurt +half of green chili+salt+ half of onions and carrots in a bowl.
- Prepare tempering: Take 2ts of oil in a pan and heat it.
- Add cumin + mustard + hing+ remaining onions and green chili's and wait until the onions turn transparent.
- Now add this tempering to the yogurt mixture and mix well.
- Finally garnish with cilantro.
Note: you can add little water if you want thin consistency.
